FO Friday!

Yay!!! It's Friday - I have a couple of "finished" to post about!! First though, I'd like to thank my dear friend Calophi for helping me out on Wednesday to post my blog to Tami's. We had massive storms and lost electricity and in that, our modem got fried. So, new modem arrived in the mail and the internet is back up!!!! Wow, was I going through withdrawal!!! Bad enough I have no computer at camp, but nothing at home either?? It was killer!

Speaking of camp, today is the last day!! This morning we will say a fond farewell to all of the animals and then I have a ton of cleaning to do! We got a lot of the Nature Hut cleaned up and packed away yesterday. Today though, I have to scrub the food bowels and water troughs to pack away for the winter. Handy tip - I've learned to cover everything in trash bags to prevent mice and spiders from getting to everything. It all opens up nice and clean for the next season!

So now, on to knitting. I've finished the swirly turquoise scarf. I really like how it came out too! Recap, I used much larger needles and thinner yarn which gave it the open lacey look. Please excuse my not matching green shirt - my son took the pic for me last night and I was too lazy to change into something else!

Turquiose scarf finished!

So that is it for today. Please check out Tami for some more FO's!!

  1. Fab colour, and I like the way you made it extra lacy, much prettier in my opinion :)

  2. Good luck with all the Last Day Cleanup stuff! I'm glad you've figured out a good and easy way to mouseproof stuff for the non-camp season.

And I love the way the scarf turned out! Such a good colour, and the big-ruffles/lacey look of it is really lovely.
