WIP Wednesday

tami_wip.jpg

Join Tami and me in Work in Progress Wednesday posts! The Plymouth tank is ready to be put together!!! Ta-daaa!!! Here it is pinned together and ready to be seamed up:

Plymouth tank almost done!

Weird thing is, the pattern called for four balls of the Meteor, and I only used two.... It does fit me perfectly (I did try it on last night) so I don't know where the other two balls are supposed to go.... I think they may be put into a yarn stash swap party!

The other project I started is a scarf/shawl that I saw in MD at the Sheep & Wool festival. You got the pattern for free if you bought the yarn. I just started it, but here is how far I am:

The yarn is a Zohar Sock yarn, in Cool Rooster. It's hard to see on the computer, but it's shades of dark wine, inky blue and black. Here is the skein before I wound it:

Tune in on Friday for the FO post to see me wearing the Plymouth Tank!

  6. I just had a similar experience with a mesh cover-up that called for a lot more yarn than I actually used. Granted, I didn't make the sleeves but I had well more left over than it called for. AND the finished project is bigger than it should have been. I have a feeling your FO is going to look much better than mine.
That Zohar Sock yarn is beautiful. I bet the color is phenomenal in person. :)
