Join Tami and me in Work in Progress Wednesday posts! The Plymouth tank is ready to be put together!!! Ta-daaa!!! Here it is pinned together and ready to be seamed up:
Weird thing is, the pattern called for four balls of the Meteor, and I only used two.... It does fit me perfectly (I did try it on last night) so I don't know where the other two balls are supposed to go.... I think they may be put into a yarn stash swap party!
The other project I started is a scarf/shawl that I saw in MD at the Sheep & Wool festival. You got the pattern for free if you bought the yarn. I just started it, but here is how far I am:
The yarn is a Zohar Sock yarn, in Cool Rooster. It's hard to see on the computer, but it's shades of dark wine, inky blue and black. Here is the skein before I wound it:
Tune in on Friday for the FO post to see me wearing the Plymouth Tank!
Soon you'll be wearing your tank! Lovely colors on your shawl.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see more of the scarf knitted up, and the FO pictures of your tank. :)
ReplyDeleteThe colours in that shawl are stunning, can't wait to see more progress shots :)
ReplyDeleteLoving the colours of the yarn for the shawl, that's going to be lovely.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finishing the tank and that sock yarn is divine!!!
ReplyDeleteI just had a similar experience with a mesh cover-up that called for a lot more yarn than I actually used. Granted, I didn't make the sleeves but I had well more left over than it called for. AND the finished project is bigger than it should have been. I have a feeling your FO is going to look much better than mine.
ReplyDeleteThat Zohar Sock yarn is beautiful. I bet the color is phenomenal in person. :)
Don't you love all the fun colorway names people come up with? That Cool Rooster is really pretty.
ReplyDeleteFirst off, can't WAIT to see the tank on! It looks awesome in this pic. The yarn you're using for the shawl is beautiful! Can't wait to see the shawl grow.
