WIPW number 6
I finally went back and counted so I know what post I'm on!! I dragged out a UFO and decided to start working on it again. I don't know when I started it - last year maybe? I got very bored with the pattern and let it go... I actually forgot about it until someone in my knitting group was talking about Tili Thomas yarn and then asked what I ever did with my sequined red yarn. So, I found it and rescued it from what I guess was "time out," and began working on it again. The pic I have is one full skein finished and ready to start the second.
Here is a close up of the pattern (it's on my Rav page here):
Here is the pretty yarn:
For some odd reason, this one came out sideways...

I've beaded my yarn before but I love the idea of sequins! I love sparkle.
ReplyDeleteLovely! Great that you got it out of hibernation.
ReplyDeleteI totally love Tilli Tomas... looking great!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like really nice yarn, and it looks great in that scarf pattern :)
ReplyDeleteI am currently wiping drool from my keyboard. You have created the perfect combo of yarn and project. That scarf is going to be stunning when you are finished!
ReplyDeleteI still LOVE that yarn with that pattern. I'm sorry you don't like working on it. Maybe you can find a fancy black dress to wear it with when you're done and you'll feel better about it. :)
ReplyDeleteThat yarn is perfect for the scarf pattern! You're going to be the envy of your friends when you get it finished! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely divine!!!!
ReplyDeleteVery Pretty. Love the pattern and the color!
ReplyDeleteThat Yarn is gorgeous! I think your very brave I would be far too scared to use beaded yarn!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen that yarn before it is beautiful as is the pattern.
ReplyDeletePretty yarn and the pattern is lovely too.
ReplyDeleteOh I keep timing out when I try to comment - but I love the yarn and wonder how it is to knit with...?
ReplyDeleteThat's a gorgeous yarn! How is this pattern to knit? I saw it last night but the yarn overs intimidate me a bit since I'm still such a newbie knitter.
ReplyDeleteIt's very pretty, I'm glad you rescued it!
ReplyDeleteStunning! And hoorah for WIP liberation!
ReplyDeleteI picked up some lovely sequined yarn yesterday and cast on a shrug that is a very similar pattern as your scarf. Can't wait to see how yours turns out.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! @Sarah, it's very easy to knit with - the sequins do not get in the way at all. You just have to watch that you have both strands together since the sequins are on a skinny thread wrapped with the yarn. @venividivoom, the pattern is very easy - it just gets a bit boring...
