Welcome to another installment of WIP Wednesday!! I have two things I'm working on. Both are for the craft show, surprise, surprise... First up are the mitts to go with the Corkscrew Scarf. They are in matching yarn:
They are basically just a garter stitch square that I'll seam to leave an opening for the thumb. Nothing fancy going on except the fancy yarn trimming it.
Next is another Self Fringing Shawl made with the same Plymouth Cielo that is in my prize giveaway. I'm just doing it on bigger needles and adding one extra ball to make another a little larger than the first one.
So that is it for today's WIP's. For more, visit Tami!
I have to admit, when I saw the first picture I couldn't work out how it would be a mitt - should have read the bit about seaming! Love the fancy yarn edging, and I am suddenly becoming a big fan of garter stitch lately, I'm starting to appreciate it's simplicity
ReplyDeleteOh I love that yarn. And the colours are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteWoman. Stop causing trouble in my blog. The blanket squares are for Thursdays, remember? =D
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see the scarf all fringed!
Both projects are really well done. Sometimes you need the simple ones (like the mitts) to balance off the more complicated.
ReplyDeleteAww man, I forgot about your Thursday thing!!! Sorry ~sheepish smile~
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love the fluffy-yarn trim on those mitts, that's such a nice touch.
ReplyDeleteThese both look great!
