The every other week blog??

I can't believe I'm finding it hard to post, but I am! When I'm at work, there really isn't time and then when I'm home, we are running around so much that when I do get to sit and veg, I forget that I have a blog...

Good news - the sweater is just about done! It's seamed up and I am doing the trim on the front. Then I just need to get buttons... It's really pretty...

We got our crayfish for school. Can you say "Ewwww, gross!"? I hate them. But I have no choice and I think I got lucky that they are small this year and fit in one container. That was nice of them!!

Bryan and I went to Walmart and bought beautiful Corelle dishes. They are in the dishwasher right now. Oh, and we got new silverware too!! Jarett thinks they are awesome. They are square - very mod looking!!

That's it for now - I'm tired.... good night...

PSSA week from hell!!

This week was insane - PSSA all morning and everyone is stressed out! We get a break next week but then the week after is Science PSSA.... way too much testing! Everyone is getting burned out. I didn't get much knitting done this week, but I did get motivated and cleaned out my pantry and kitchen!! The source of my motivation - that would be my friend Lori from CT. She has the most beautiful and perfect house and she is such an inspiration!! We saw her and Mike briefly on Saturday on the way home from our RI trip. The trip was horrible and I"ve talked about it so much that I don't even want to blog about now... Silver lining? Lori. Beautiful lunch displayed on her beautiful dishes and layed out as though it was for a magazine. Everytime we see them she inspires me to do better and make myself better. I can't wait until our next visit! What I really should do is have them come here and let her go through my house and give me ideas to spruce it up!

She also inspired me to cut off my rageddy red hair and opt for a new bob. I want more highlights next time for more blond and am letting the bangs grow in more, but isn't it cute?

So, now I need to get through the weekend - lots of karate stuff and Matt's Freshman dance is tonight!! Woo Hoo!

Tournament tomorrow and a Demo on Sunday. After that, I'll get to breath a bit and get back to my knitting which is sadly getting overlooked right now... I can't wait until Knit Night on Tuesday to get more done on my sweater!!

Back to knitting!

I am feeling better and am almost done the sweater!! It's in the seaming process and then will need to have the trim knitted on. Here's sneak peak of me working on it:

And a pic of it laying on the table:

And another of me wearing it - mind you it's only half seamed and has no coller or edging yet!!!

I like the way it's coming along though!!

On a weirder note, I had to perform the Heimlich Maneuver on one of my kids!!! She was choking on piece of candy and came up to me at dismissal time - no sound coming out of her - just some tears... I spun her around and prayed to God that it would work - out came the candy, which she proceeded to swallow again (I have no idea why!!!) and then gagging and tears. I was freaked out but didn't let her know that!! OMG - what a day!!

Thursday Night Knitting

Well, I survived my Dr's visit. She thinks it's Vertigo and that the passing out was a vagel response to the blood from cutting my finger... Never thought of myself as the passing out type!! Also, I need to exercise more... No surprise there. With the weather being nice, it'll definitely be easier!!

My Health Master came - so far, so good!! I love it! I haven't made soup yet, but I will and see how it is. I found a new TV show on the BBC - You Are What You Eat. It's this cute little Brit woman named Gillian McKeith. Maybe cute isn't the right word - she is a spitfire!! She doesn't hold back and let's you know what will happen to you if you don't eat properly or exercise and she does not sugar coat at all!! Talk about motivation! I was trying to follow the Raw Foods thing, but it's hard - you really have to think ahead to soak everything and prepare it... I'll still try to incorporate it, but maybe keeping fish in my diet would be a good thing. I'm so on the fence with this...

So, with Passover being on Tuesday I changed knit night to Thursday for this week. There are new people coming from Levittown. How exciting - I have 103 members on my forum!! Woo Hoo!!! I'm on the last sleeve of my sweater - almost done!! I'll have to post pics!

With the warmer weather, the turtles are peeking out - here they are eating:

Aren't they too cute!!! Yes, that is dog food they are gobbling up!! Crazy turtles...
